This week I took a hike to Boomer Canyon Trail in Irvine. To get to this hike I took the 73 East and got off at the last exit before it converts into a toll road. You take exit 13 onto Bison Ave, this street takes you around the University of California Irvine. Once you get to the parking lot (free parking) you may notice there are two ways to walk. The entrance to this trial is behind the restrooms.
It is all dirt so keep an eye out for holes in the ground, the trail is also uneven with gaps, be aware of your surroundings because this hike is shared with cyclist. There are no dogs allowed on this hiking trail and the trial does narrow down in some places.
What makes this hike different is that it is around a community of houses so there are houses to the top left of the mountain and to the bottom left. This hike is not right off the freeway like the last Irvine hike I went on. This is not a hike to do close to sunset since you are in the mountains there is no light and that can be dangerous at night.
This trail was very calm and peaceful there is not much happening. If you are the type of person who prefers a more secluded hike with not as many people this is the hike for you. But if you prefer a more active hike with more people on the trail, a more scenic hike then try checking out my very first hike. I personally prefer secluded hikes to take time to myself and really escape the world.
Tune in next week to see what new hike I explore! #EVE #EndlessViewsExplored #MeTime
