Anaheim Coves Trail

perezeleidy

I went to Anaheim Coves Trail and how I came across this hike was just by looking up near by hikes. I was in the Fullerton area so in order to get to this hike I took the 57 South and took the exit onto Lincoln Ave, then turned right on Rio Vista. It was located at the very end of the street and there was plenty of street parking.

This trail has several observation areas you can look out into the water you also see a lot of birds stopping by. The hike is 2.9 miles and it is on cement not like other hikes I've done that are dirt. Dogs are allowed on leashes there are also many dog waste stations so you can dispose of your dogs needs. There are people who like to ride their bikes so always keep an eye out for cyclist.

I know I mentioned this trial is all cement but the entrance to the hike is dirt once you get passed those trash cans you make it onto the actual trail which is all cement. I recommend this trial if you don't like being secluded up in the mountains. This hike is right next to a neighborhood, you walk behind some houses too, and there is always someone on the trail. You are bound to bump into someone on this hike. There are high fences along the trail so you can't walk or fall towards the water. This hike is very wheelchair friendly, kid and stroller friendly, perfect if you just want to take a walk, or even bird watch. I suggest going when the sun isn't at its peak because there isn't a lot of shade.
